Liv Dommersnes

Liv Dommersnes (* 28. September 1922 in Oslo as Liv Strømsted ; † 6. April 2014 in Norway ) was a Norwegian actress .

Life

Liv Strømsted began in 1941 at the National Theater in Oslo and made her debut in the role of Helga in the play Geografi og kjærlighet of Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson . She worked there until 1945. She then went to the Studioteatret, which she co-founded, and stayed there until 1949. From 1949 to 1962 and from 1985 until her retirement, she worked again at the Oslo National Theater. From 1962 to 1963 she also played at Edderkoppen Teater and from 1965 to 1984 at Oslo Nye Teater . She also worked in several Norwegian film and television productions.

In 1984 Liv Dommersnes - as she was called from 1968 - received a state scholarship. She was a member of the Norwegian Academy . In 2000 she was made a Knight of the Order of Saint Olav .

She was married to the actor Jens Bolling from 1945 to 1952 ; after the separation she had a long relationship with the writer Johan Borgen . From 1968 until his death in 1994 she was married to the doctor Ivar Dommersnes.
