live (TV broadcast)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

live was the title of a talk show on ZDF from 1987 to 1996.

The moderators of the first broadcast on March 26, 1987 were Amelie Fried , Trutz Beckert and the former Federal President Walter Scheel , who withdrew after the premiere, which was a "false start" for the critics. The program was broadcast from the Alte Oper in Frankfurt . It ran initially monthly, later every 14 days on Thursday evening at 10.15 p.m.

When Beckert died unexpectedly in June 1988, Harry Valérien took over the co-moderation. The show was no longer so successful. Fried left the show at the end of 1989. Furthermore, moderated the the auslandsjournal known Rudolf Radke , the publicist Elke Heidenreich and many years of ZDF foreign correspondent W. Hans Scheicher the broadcast. The last presenters were the journalist Christa Schulze-Rohr and Wolfgang Herles , who has been working for ZDF since 1984 , who ultimately directed the show from January 1995 until its end, with the average viewer number falling below 1.5 million by mid-1995.

He was succeeded by Tacheles with Johannes Gross .
