history

Jewish Cemetery

The Jewish community in Soborten was probably one of the oldest in Bohemia. It included parts of the districts of Teplitz, Dux and Karbitz . The town's former synagogue had an essay that bears the two dates 1553 and 1654. It stood in Judengasse (later Tempelstrasse, today Stará Ulice) and was demolished in 1958. The Jewish cemetery that still exists today was used for the burial of Jews from Dresden until 1751 .

In 1980 Sobědruhy was incorporated into Teplice.
