Livonius is the name of a family from Mecklenburg who were raised to the Prussian nobility in 1860 .

history

The family line begins with Sebastian Livonius , who was "collega scholae Mansfeldiensis" around 1570. His son Sebastian came to Mecklenburg, where he was rector in Waren and, in 1599, pastor in Basedow . The royal Prussian councilor George Livonius on Seegenfelde, Deutsch Krone district in West Prussia , received the Prussian nobility on March 10, 1860 and his brother Alexander Livonius auf Grunau, Flatow district in the province of Posen , also a Prussian councilor, received the nobility on October 18 1861. Their nephew Wilhelm , Prussian lieutenant colonel and commander of Landwehr Regiment I in Berlin, was ennobled on September 19, 1888 .
