The slim weevil ( Lixus paraplecticus ) is a beetle from the family of the weevils (Curculionidae).
features
The beetles reach a body length of 10 to 18 millimeters and are only slightly arched with a narrow and elongated body. They have a dark body color, but this is largely covered by the yellow pollination of the animals. The edge is lighter in color than the rest of the body. The body surface is also very fine and hairy short, on the edge the hair is thicker and a little longer. On much longer than wide pronotum you can see three dark longitudinal lines in some individuals. The pronotum becomes narrower towards the front. The upper wings ( elytres ) are drawn out to a clear point towards the rear. This is as long as the last two abdominal segments. The legs also have a dark basic color, which is covered by light hair and occasionally yellow pollination. The males' proboscis is shorter than the pronotum, while the females have the same length.
