Liza 'N' Eliaz

Liza 'N' Eliaz (alternative spellings Liza N. Eliaz, Liza N'Eliaz and others, born February 26, 1958 in Oostende ; † February 19, 2001 ) was also known as the "Queen of Terror" (due to the musical style " Terror ") known Belgian DJ , Hardcore Techno - and Gabber - music producer and label owner.

Because of her comparatively old age and her androgyny, she was considered an extraordinary producer within the gabber scene.

After playing in various electronic and industrial bands, she started working as one of the first hardcore techno producers in 1990 and in 1992 produced the first tracks for the Bonzai Records label with her project "Stockhousen" (together with Pieter Kuyl). As a DJ she played at many parties around the world and released many tracks with other artists such as DJ Dano , Laurent Hô and The Prophet .

In 1997 she founded her own label, Provision Records . She also released on Atom Communications and Mokum Records, among others .

Liza 'N' Eliaz later lived in Antwerp and died of lung cancer in February 2001.
