Lyubomir Spiridonow Levtschew ( Bulgarian Любомир Спиридонов Левчев ; born April 29, 1935 in Trojan ; † September 25, 2019 ) was a Bulgarian politician , writer and journalist .

Life

Levchev had joined the Bulgarian Communist Party . From 1972 he was a candidate for the central committee of his party, of which he was a member from 1976. From 1975 to 1980 he was deputy chairman of the Culture Committee. Since 1980 he has been chairman of the Bulgarian Writers' Union.

Levchev wrote poems and poems that appeared in several collections. In 1957 his son Vladimir Levtschew was born, who also works as a writer.

He was awarded the Dimitrov Prize.
