Lyutenka ( Ukrainian and Russian Лютенька ) is a village in the north of the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with about 3,600 inhabitants (2001).
Ljutenka is located at the confluence of the 32 km long Ljutenka in the Psel river in the south of the Hadjach district . Hadjach district center is 14 km north and Poltava oblast center is about 120 km southeast of the village.
The village, founded at the end of the 16th / beginning of the 17th century, is the administrative center of the 203.572 km² district council of the same name , to which the village of Jurjiwka ( Юр'ївка , ⊙ ) with about 70 inhabitants also belongs. Territorial road T – 17–27 leads into the village .
Personalities
- Alexander Dmitrijewitsch Sassjadko (1779–1837), artilleryman, developer and specialist in rocket projectiles as well as Lieutenant General of the Imperial Russian Army was born in the village.
