Lluís Carreras Ferrer (born September 24, 1972 in Sant Pol de Mar ) is a former Spanish left-back who was active during his active career for FC Barcelona , RCD Mallorca , Atlético Madrid and Deportivo Alavés , among others .

Career

Lluís Carreras Ferrer was trained in the youth academy of FC Barcelona . From 1991 to 1993 he played 70 games and scored 21 goals for the amateurs. On April 4, 1993 he made his debut in the professional team in a 3-1 win over CD Logroñés . However, this was the only game in the 1992/93 season.

After two loan periods at Real Oviedo and Racing Santander , he returned to Barcelona for the 1995/96 season . Although he played 18 league games this season, FC Barcelona was only third in the table.

In 1996 he moved to RCD Mallorca , where he was able to assert himself as a regular player from the start. By 2001 he had played 94 games and scored eight goals. He had similar experiences at Atlético Madrid , but stayed there for only two years. This was followed by a season at Real Murcia . There he completed 15 games.

In 2004 he moved to Deportivo Alavés . In Alavés, however, he could no longer prevail. In 2007, Carreras was fired by Dmitry Pietrman because he made some information on a Basque website that Pietrman was not satisfied with.

After this incident, he ended his active career.

National team

Carreras played for the Spanish U-20s in 1990 and played three games there. From 1992 to 1994 he played seven games for Spanish U-21s .
