Loïck Peyron (born December 1, 1959 in Nantes ) is a French sailor . He won numerous regattas , including three single-handed transatlantic races.

Loïck Peyron is the younger brother of the sailors Bruno Peyron and Stéphane Peyron . He achieved many successes with the trimaran Fujicolor in the 1990s, including four ORMA world championships (Ocean Racing Multihull Association). In 1999 and 2005, Peyron won the Transat Jacques Vabre . In April 2006 he was appointed head of the Gitana team from the Swiss banker Benjamin de Rothschild . In 2008, he won the Transat with the Open 60 yacht Gitana Eighty . In 2010, Peyron took part in the 33rd America's Cup with the Alinghi 5 as co- skipper of the Alinghi team . He and his team set a new record on January 6, 2012 with the trimaran "Banque Populaire V" in the Jules Verne Trophy with 45 days and 13 hours.
