The Lobsang Spire ( Spire English for "top" or "spike tower") is a 5707 m high mountain in the Pakistani part of the Karakoram .
location
The mountain lies in a ridge north of the Baltoro Glacier , which is flanked by the Bialegletscher in the west and by the Muztagh Glacier in the east . The Muztagh Tower rises 9.3 km northeast.
Ascent history
The first ascent of Lobsang Spire was made on June 13, 1983 by Doug Scott , Greg Child and Pete Thexton . They climbed from 10th to 13th June from the Bialegletscher with portaledges in the style of big wall climbing up the south pillar to the summit.
