Lochau is a part of the municipality of Pullenreuth in the Upper Palatinate district of Tirschenreuth .

geography

The village with 300 inhabitants is 529 m above sea level. NN. in the middle of the stone forest on the Fichtelnaab . Lochau borders the villages of Kautzenhof , Weihermühle , Haselbrunn as well as Neuhof and Neuweiher. Lochau is a bit off the road from Neusorg to Erbendorf ; the next train station is in Neusorg.

history

Lochau was a separate municipality until the regional reform in 1972. Lochau still has the old school building, which was used for teaching until the 1990s. Today the school is used as a non-profit building in which, for example, (adult education center) courses or club meetings take place. One room is used as a prayer room because Lochau does not have a church.
