Lodovico Agostini

Don Lodovico Agostini (* 1534 in Ferrara ; † September 20, 1590 ibid) was an Italian composer, singer, priest and teacher in the late Renaissance at the court of Alfonsus II of Este .

Life

He was the illegitimate son of Agostino Agostini . From 1572 it was associated with the Capella of the Cathedral of Ferrara , at which Agostino Agostini was also in service. From 1578 to 1590 he was employed at the court in Ferrara.

Works

He created a number of madrigals , motets , masses and other works, which - skillfully crafted - can mostly be assigned to the Venetian style.
