Nils Andersson (football player, 1887)

Nils Andersson (born March 10, 1887 in Gothenburg , † August 15, 1947 in Los Angeles , California ) was a Swedish football player .

Career

Andersson was one of the first IFK Gothenburg players in 1904 . In 1908 he was with the club through a 4-3 win against IFK Uppsala in Gothenburg's Valhalla IP stadium for the first time Swedish champions.

That same year, on July 12, he was part of the Swedish national team's squad for their first international match. In front of 3,000 spectators in Balders Hage , Norway was beaten 11: 3. At the Olympic Games in 1908 , he was used in both games against the Netherlands . He played a total of five international matches.

In 1910 he was able to celebrate the second championship title of his career with a 3-0 final victory against Djurgårdens IF . A year later he emigrated to the United States .
