Logi Gunnarsson
Logi Gunnarsson (* 1963 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic philosopher and professor at the University of Potsdam . Logi Gunnarsson is primarily known for his preoccupation with the ethics , metaphysics and philosophy of Wittgenstein .
Life
Logi Gunnarsson was born in Reykjavík in 1963 and studied philosophy in Reykjavík (BA 1986), Frankfurt am Main , Munich and at the Philosophy Department of the University of Pittsburgh ( Magister 1991, PhD 1995). After completing his studies, he was initially a lecturer at the Technical University of Berlin (1996–97) and research assistant at the Humboldt University of Berlin (1997–2004). In 2001 he was a visiting fellow at the University Center for Human Values at Princeton University. In 2005 he received a call to the University of Liverpool since 2006 he was Professor of Philosophy at the Technical University of Dortmund . Since April 1, 2011, Gunnarsson has held the Chair of Ethics and Aesthetics at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Potsdam and at the same time co-director of the Human Rights Center at the University of Potsdam.
