Logica plc was a British consulting and IT service provider with 41,000 employees worldwide. Logica specialized in management and technology consulting, system integration as well as infrastructure and business process outsourcing and application management .

The company was listed on the London and Amsterdam stock exchanges.

history

Logica was founded in the UK in 1969. Logica's shares were listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1983 . The London Underground received an automatic ticket system in 1987; Logica took over the development. Logica was awarded the British Army in 1990 for a £ 30 million project with more than 100 developers. The 25th anniversary of the Logia company was celebrated in 1994. Offices were opened in the Czech Republic and New Zealand in 1995. Logica acquired Aldiscon in 1997 for £ 51 million. In the same year Logica founded a subsidiary in India. From 2002 to 2008 the name was changed from Logica to LogiaCMG. The German pdv management consultancy was taken over in 2002 with over 1000 employees for 1.2 billion DM. In 2008 the company received the “ Fair Company ” seal of approval. The nordIT GmbH from Bremen was acquired in 2009.

In August 2012, Logica was taken over by the Canadian CGI Inc.
