Lohmühle was a stamping and hammering mill in the Wasserberndorf district of the municipality of Geiselwind in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen. Until the second half of the 20th century, the hammer mill was part of the municipality of Wasserberndorf.

history

The mill was first mentioned in 1742. At that time, Peter Reisamer was named as a miller . He worked in the "new Hohnsperger Hamerschmitten not far from the Hutzelmühl". The hammer mill was located in the immediate vicinity of the hammer mill at Füttersee, which was only 600 m upstream on the Ebrach. That is why it was soon converted into a wage mill. On June 25, 1788, the Hoehn family, who sat in the Hutzelmühle, acquired the mill from St. Anna Abbey in Würzburg.

In 1833 the Lohmühle was still owned by the Hoehn family. The miller Tobias Hoehn was operating the system at this time. In 1834 the mill was designated as a side house of the Hutzelmühle . After the mill was given up before 1928, the mill was converted into a house with a barn . Today the mill is located in the Geiselwind market in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen.

District

In 1875 the Lohmühle was an independent district of Wasserberndorf in the Scheinfeld district office in Middle Franconia . At that time it was assigned to the parish of Kirchrimbach and consisted of two buildings. In 1888 only one residential building was still intact. At the beginning of the 20th century the mill was temporarily uninhabited. The district was given up before 1950 and the place name was canceled in 1952.
