The Nemotice – Koryčany railway is a regional railway connection in the Czech Republic , which was originally operated as the state-guaranteed local Nemotice – Koritschan (Czech: Místní dráha Nemotice – Koryčany ) and operated. The route of Nemotice ( Nemotitz ) according Koryčany ( Koritschan ). Today it only serves as a connecting line for an industrial company.
According to a decree of the Czech government, the line has been classified as a regional railway ("regionální dráha") since December 20, 1995.
history
On April 21, 1906, the " landowner Ludwig Wittgenstein in Vienna ... was granted the right to build and operate a standard-gauge local railway from the Nemotitz station of the privately owned Austrian-Hungarian state railway company after Nemotitz ” .
The line was opened on June 1, 1908. The operation was carried out by the privately owned Austrian-Hungarian State Railway Company (StEG) on behalf of the owners. After it was nationalized in 1909, management was transferred to the kk Staatsbahnen (kkStB). After the First World War, the newly founded Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) took the place of the kkStB .
In 1920, travel began on the route.
During the Second World War , the route lay entirely in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . The operators were now the Protectorate Railways Bohemia and Moravia (ČMD-BMB). On May 9, 1945, the entire line came back to the ČSD. After the Second World War, the local railway Nemotitz – Koritschan was nationalized by law.
On January 1, 1993, the line was transferred to the newly founded České dráhy (ČD) in the course of the dissolution of Czechoslovakia . Since 2003 it has been part of the network of the state infrastructure operator Správa železniční dopravní cesty (SŽDC).
The tourist traffic was stopped on May 31, 1980. In 1997 the line was converted to a non-public connecting railway.
Vehicle use
For the account of the local railway Nemotitz – Koritschan , the StEG procured a triple-coupled tank locomotive from the locomotive factory Floridsdorf . She was given the name KORITSCHAN . The kkStB designated the locomotive as 462.01 , the ČSD as 302.001. In 1950 the loner was retired.
