The local railway Nezamislitz-Morkowitz (tschech .: Místní dráha Nezamyslice-Morkovice ) was a state-guaranteed local railway - stock company in today's Czech Republic . The company's route ran from Nezamyslice to Morkovice in Moravia . The company had its seat in Morkovice.

history

On September 27, 1909, “ the Vice-President of the Regional Culture Council in Moravia, Dr. Kyrill Seifert in Napajedl granted the requested concession to build and operate a standard-gauge local train from the Nezamylitz station of the Imperial and Royal State Railroad Brünn – Prerau to Morkowitz ”. Part of the concession was the obligation to start construction of the line immediately and to finish it within two years. The company's share capital totaled 600,000 crowns . The line was opened on November 30, 1909.

The operations were carried out by the Brno-Chernivtsi operations department on behalf of the Nezamislitz – Morkowitz local railway. In 1945 the local line Nezamislitz – Morkowitz was nationalized and the line was integrated into the ČSD network.

The line was operated in passenger and freight traffic until 1996, and has been closed since 2005.

Locomotives

The operations management Brno-Chernivtsi procured two quadruple-coupled tank locomotives from the First Bohemian-Moravian Machine Factory in Prague for the local railway Nezamislitz – Morkowitz , as they had already been built for the local railway Friedland – Bila . The two locomotives were still part of the ČSD in 1945. The former 410.02 (ČSD 422.0108) was preserved for posterity in the Bratislava Railway Museum.
