Locomotor skills
Locomotor skills as a sub-area of motor skills (mobility, movement behavior) describes the type of movement :
- Fort movements , ie movement locomotion (consciously and / or controlled) of the body , such as climbing , running , walking and jumping . Contrast: statomotor activity .
- Movements and (involuntary) reflexes of the body or of parts of the body , for example within organs (here e.g. the spontaneous expulsion of inhaled foreign bodies from the lungs ).
- Urge to move .
- Experiencing space (through the movements performed).
The branch of science that deals with motor skills is called motology .
A sub-area of locomotor skills is proxemics (distance control).
In contrast to Lokomotorik are sensorimotor (z. B. Access ) and Statomotorik (holding and supporting reflexes).
