Lola Angst is a band from Berlin .

history

Lola Angst was founded in 2005 by Alexandar Goldmann ( Feeling B , Kamikaze 52). With the portable church organ Lola and a variety of analog synthesizers, he played electronic music, first at his own parties in Berlin.

In 2005 the first maxi "Am I Dead" was released, produced by Rayner Schirner ( Blind Passengers ). Schirner then also joined as a live member. Together they came up with the debut album "Council of Love", which gave the band good reviews and the newcomer of the month December 05 / January 06 (double edition) in the music magazine Zillo.

The band presented themselves live at the festivals of the alternative and black scene, both on stage and as host in their own tour and party bus, the quickly becoming known Lolamobil. Goldmann and Schirner are accompanied live by two trained ballet dancers. With this line-up, they played for the first time at the major festivals, including the Amphi Festival , the M'era Luna Festival and the Wave-Gotik-Treffen .

Lola Angst separated from the label Wannsee Records and signed with the record company Out of Line / Universal Music . The second album "Schwarzwald" was released here in 2007, which the band presents in a more musically catchy way.

This was followed by a joint European tour with London After Midnight and Kirlian Camera , which took the band to Vienna, Paris and Milan, among others.

In spring 2008, Rayner Schirner withdrew from the live line-up, but Lola Angst remains as a producer. The band now presented itself live with a drummer and other musicians. The band played at various European festivals, including for the first time at the Arvika Festival, Sweden. Here she celebrated a much-acclaimed appearance.

The novel of the same name was created on the basis of the album "Black Forest", which was then edited for the stage and premiered as a ballet piece in Berlin in October 2008. The book was published in small editions by their own "Verlag der Angst" and was quickly sold out.

At the end of the year, the band was able to take the headlining position at a festival in the Netherlands for the first time.

In 2009 another appearance at the M'era Luna Festival followed, as well as a headlining appearance at the Wake Up! -Festival in the Czech Republic. At the end of the year the third album "Viva la Lola" was released by Out of Line, which shows the band from a darker side and was honored with good reviews by the press. In the German Alternative Charts (DAC) "Viva la Lola" reached number 3.

In 2010 Lola Angst performed again at the WGT in Leipzig and is working on the fourth album "The Golden Future". In 2010 the studio work was moved to the band's own ANGST studio on the island of VIS, Croatia.

At the turn of the year 2010/2011 the first video for Goldmann's side project on Dark Punch was released. The puppet theater is a parody of the so-called black scene and celebrated its premiere on April 30, 2011 in Berlin with many star guests.
