history

The album was released in 1989 during the first Intifada . It contains u. a. the controversial song Chad Gadya , which criticizes the treatment of the Palestinians in the occupied territories. Sections of the Israeli public were shocked. and many radio stations boycotted the play. The song was hardly played on the radio even later.

Chava Alberstein recorded the title song London on the CD in a new version as a promotional song for the cable operator YES, which earned her a lot of opposition.
