Lone Jörgensen (born April 23, 1962 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish dressage rider.

In May 2012 she was ranked 44th in the world.

Private

Lone Jörgensen is married to the show jumper Uli Eggers and has a daughter with him. Both lived in Korntal-Münchingen in Baden-Württemberg until 2012 . Since the end of 2012 they have been living and working on a 6 hectare facility near Melbourne , Australia.

Career

As a twelve year old she got into equestrian sport through her sister.

In 1982 she moved to Germany to train with show jumping rider Uli Eggers. There she achieved successes up to class S. Due to the dressage disposition of her horse Wrong Number at the time , she soon moved to the dressage camp.

She played her first championship for Denmark at the European Championships in 1997, where she reached 28th place with Kennedy .

In 2000 and 2004 Jörgensen was part of the Danish Olympic team. At the games in Sydney she finished fourth with Kennedy with the team and seventh in the individual ranking; at the games in Athens she reached fifth place with Ludewig G in the individual ranking and 38th place in the individual ranking.

At the European Championships in 1999 in Arnhem, she won team bronze with FBW Kennedy in a team with Lars Petersen , Anne van Olst and Jon Pedersen . She was able to repeat this success again in 2001 with FBW Kennedy .

At the Summer Paralympics 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Lone Jörgensen looked after the Australian para-dressage rider Emma Booth .
