Lonely Drifter Karen is a music project by three people with different musical backgrounds: from folk to dream pop to dark cabaret , experimental , classical music , rock music and more. The band consists of Austrian-born singer Tanja Frinta , pianist and producer Marc Melià Sobrevias from Spain and Italian Giorgio Fausto Menossi on drums and percussion.
history
After their previous band Holly May had broken up the established Viennese Tanja Frinta Lonely Drifter Karen as a solo project. When she later moved to Barcelona , Menossi and Sobrevias joined them. Between December 2006 and January 2008 Frinta and Melia recorded their debut album Grass is Singing , which was released worldwide in 2008.
The band members currently live in Brussels and Barcelona, where they recorded their second album, Fall of Spring , which was released on March 26, 2010 in Europe.
