Long Valley is a city in Morris County in New Jersey in the United States .
After the last census in the United States, the population of the city was in 2010 1.879 inhabitants spread over 654 households and 502 families. Originally the city was called German Valley and was founded by German settlers in the 18th century . However, after the US entered the Second World War , the city was renamed Long Valley.
