Longhui

Longhui ( 隆回县 , Lónghuí Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Shaoyang in the Chinese province of Hunan . Longhui has an area of 2,871 km² and approx. 1.08 million inhabitants (end of 2003). Its main town is the large community of Taohong (桃洪镇).

Administrative structure

At the community level, the district is composed of 14 large communities , ten communities and two nationality communities. These are:

Sons and daughters of the circle

Wei Yuan (1794-1857), Confucian scholar. His former residence ( Wei Yuan guju魏源故居) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (4-208) since 1996 .
