Longleng is a city in the Indian state of Nagaland .
The city is the capital of the Longleng District . Longleng has the status of a Town Committee . The city is divided into 11 wards . It had 7,613 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census, of which 3,991 were men and 3,622 were women. Christians make up the majority of the city's population with a share of over 93%. Hindus and Muslims each form minorities of over 3%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 91.5%, well above the national average. 89.8% belong to the Scheduled Tribes .
