Longula

Longula was a Volscian settlement in Lazio south of Corioli .

Longula was born in 493 BC. Conquered and destroyed by the Romans under Gnaeus Marcius Coriolanus ( Livius 2, 33, 4). 309 BC During the Second Samnite War at Longula , the Roman general Lucius Papirius Cursor defeated the Samnites (Livius 9, 38–40).

The place is identified as the archaeological site of today's Buon Riposo, district of Aprilia .
