North Cornwall ( Cornish : Kernow Kledh ) was a district of the county of Cornwall in England . The administrative seat was the city of Wadebridge .
The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and was formed from the merger of the Boroughs Bodmin and Launceston, the Urban District Bude-Stratton and the Rural Districts Camelford, Launceston, Stratton and Wadebridge and Padstow. On April 1, 2009, in addition to North Cornwall, all other districts in Cornwall were abolished and combined into a single unitary authority .
