The Lord Bank ( English ) is a submarine bank off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located south of Adelaide Island and west-southwest of the entrance to the Quest Channel at a depth of 18 m.
The bank was measured in January 1980 by the crew of the HMS Endurance . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1982 after James Trevor Lord (* 1933), commander of HMS Endurance from 1978 to 1980.
