Lords of Acid (also known as Digital Orgasm ) is a Belgian acid house band.
Band history
The band was formed in the late 1980s by Praga Khan (real name Maurice Engelen), Jade 4 U and Oliver Adams. In 1988 her first and controversial New Beat single I Sit on Acid was released . With their debut album Lust , which was released in 1990 together with the singles Rough Sex and I Must Increase My Bust , they became famous in the electronic music scene for the unrestrained sexual content of their lyrics and their sound sampling . Her perhaps most famous song I Sit on Acid begins a cappella with the words Darling, come here / fuck me up the… and is immediately interrupted by a rave beat. Their second album Voodoo-U was based on the direction of the industrial sound. Next up were our Little Secret (1997), Heaven Is an Orgasm (1998) and Expand Your Head (1999) albums . In 2000 the rock- heavy album Farstucker was released . After 15 years in the music business, they released their greatest hits album Greatest Tits in 2003 . In 2011, director Zack Snyder used her track Crab Louse from the album of the same name The Crablouse (Variations on a Species) in his film Sucker Punch .
Projects outside the band
Praga Khan founded the music label "SonicAngel" in the spring of 2010, which Erhan Kurkun also works for. They produced Tom Dice's Belgian contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo .
