Lore Reimer

Lore Reimer ( pseudonym for Lore Schmidt ; born November 4, 1947 in Leninpol , Kyrgyz SSR ) is a Russian-German writer .

Life

Lore Reimer comes from a family of Russian mennonites ; her mother tongue is Plautdietsch . She studied German in Novosibirsk ; then she was part of the editorial team of the Russian-German newspaper Neues Leben in Moscow . In 1974 she moved to the Federal Republic of Germany , where she completed a teaching degree in Bielefeld in the subjects of German and Protestant theology . Lore Reimer now lives with her family in Espelkamp .

Lore Reimer is the author of prose texts and poems , partly also in Plautdietsch. She is a member of the literary circle of Germans from Russia .
