Lorenz Christian Köhler (born May 16, 1972 in Eisenach ) is a German actor , director and producer .

Life

From 1995 to 2000 he studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . From 1999 to 2001 he was engaged by Peter Stein and played in his Faust project . He was engaged as a guest at the Hans-Otto-Theater Potsdam , the DNT Weimar and the Maxim-Gorki-Theater Berlin . In 2004 he founded their own theater and film production company Drehbühne berlin together with his wife Nanda Ben Chaabane . He directed and played in the Drehbühne berlin's debut production “The Little Prince”, based on Antoine de Saint-Exupéry , who since 2008 a. a. was shown in the Berlin Admiralspalast and on tour. Under his direction, the co-productions with the Berlin Schlosspark Theater by Dieter Hallervorden “The Little King December”, based on Axel Hacke . Shortly before the premiere, the main actor in the play, Dirk Bach, died . The role was taken over by Gustav Peter Wöhler .
