Lorenz Petersen (Councilor)
Lorenz Petersen († September 2, 1668 in Lübeck ) was councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.
Life
Lorenz Petersen was the son of the Lübeck councilor Johann Petersen . He was a tailor in Lübeck and in 1664 head of the orphanage . He was elected to the Lübeck Council in 1666 after the treasury trial . He was one of the few councilors who were elected to the council from this professional group.
Petersen was married to a daughter of the Lübeck businessman Gerhard Reuter. He was buried in Lübeck's Marienkirche , where his coat of arms grave slab (formerly in front of the steps of the high altar) and its inscription are documented.
