Lorenza Mondada
Lorenza Mondada (* 1963 in Locarno ) is a Swiss university professor and linguist .
Life
After studying in Friborg from 1982 to 1986 , she worked as an assistant at the Universities of Lausanne , Friborg and Neuchâtel and was involved in several research projects. In 1994 she obtained her doctorate in Lausanne. Between 1996 and 2001 she was a visiting scholar in Berkeley and Bielefeld and a visiting professor in Campinas (Brazil) and Toulouse . During this time she also worked as an assistant professor at the University of Basel , where she completed her habilitation in general and Romance linguistics in 2000. In September 2001 she accepted the call as full professor of linguistics at the Université Lumière Lyon 2 . In 2001 she was awarded the National Latsis Prize of the Swiss National Science Foundation. From October 2009 to September 2010 she was an External Senior Fellow at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS) at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg.
