Lorenzo Coullaut Valera (born April 12, 1876 in Marchena , † August 21, 1932 in Madrid ) was a Spanish sculptor, creator of many monuments.

Lorenzo Coullaut Valera was born in Marchena (Seville province). He grew up in Nantes , where his family had moved. There he attended the Livet Lyceum. In 1893 he returned to Spain. In Seville he studied in the studios of Antonio Susillo Fernandez and later with Agustin Querol Subirats , two sculptors who were highly valued at the time. With the support of his uncle Juan Valera, whose bust he sculpted for the competition, Coullaut Valera took part in the National Art Exhibition in 1897 and received an Honorable Mention. He died in Madrid.

Lorenzo Coullaut Valera's works can be found in public places all over Spain. B. the Ramón de Campoamor monument (1914) in Madrid , the Ossius monument (1926) in Córdoba and the Cervantes monument (1930) in Madrid, but also in South America z. B. the Bruno Zavala monument in Montevideo .

His son Federico Coullaut Valera continued the tradition of his father and also created several sculptures for public spaces.
