Lorenzo Sabatini

Lorenzo Sabatini (* 1530 in Bologna , † 1576 in Rome ) was an Italian painter of the Mannerist and mainly in Florence , Bologna and the Vatican operates. He is also known under the name Lorenzino da Bologna .

He studied with Prospero Fontana , but his style was also influenced by Giorgio Vasari and Parmigianino . From 1573 he worked in Rome, z. B. in the Vatican in the Cappella Paolina and the Sala Regia . One of his students is the Flemish painter Denys Calvaert .
