Lori Jeanne Monk-Goff (born March 20, 1956 in Madison , Wisconsin ) is a former American speed skater .

Monk competed in volleyball , golf , athletics, and speed skating during her high school years . She won two national championship titles with her golf team. She also led her athletics team to a national championship title because she won seven individual disciplines. She won five national championship titles in speed skating.

Monk competed at the speed skating sprint world championship in Innsbruck in 1974 , but was disqualified. At the 1976 Winter Olympics there , she finished ninth over 500 meters.

Monk attended the University of Wisconsin . After the end of her active career, she worked as a fire fighter and paramedic as well as a trainer in youth sports.

Monk's son Tyler Goff is also a speed skater.
