Lost and Found (band)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lost and Found is a Christian rock band from the United States .

Band history

The group was founded in 1986 by the two members Michael D. Bridges ( guitar ) and George R. Baum ( piano , recorder , drums and slinky ) in Niagara Falls, New York . It does not appear explicitly as a Christian band , although according to its song lyrics and its performances it is clearly one. They use the made-up word Speedwood to describe the style of their music , which alludes to the term hard rock . Bridges and Baum also own their own record company, Limb Records .

With the title Lions they won the John Lennon Song Writing Contest . They went on their first big tour across the country by bike and without support vehicles. They drove over 8,000 miles and performed on over 300 stations such as schools, camps, and churches. They are particularly well known within the Protestant Church but also in other Christian youth organizations. They often play at Graceland University in Lamoni , Iowa . All of their songs are registered under CCLI .

Musical classification

The band describes themselves as a cross between John Denver and the Ramones . This is a relatively boring intersection, and Lost and Found are really the only band in this mix.
