Lothar Buttkus
Lothar Buttkus (born March 28, 1947 in Neustadt in Holstein ; † August 9, 2018 in Bielefeld ) was a German stadium announcer and DJ .
After dropping out of design studies and a first job as a disc jockey in Cologne , Buttkus was Bielefeld's first disc jockey in 1971 in the Dixi discotheque on Obernstrasse . At that time he was already connected as a fan with Arminia Bielefeld . In 1983 he took over the position of stadium announcer from Albrecht Lämmchen at the Bielefelder Alm and held this position for over 35 years until his death in August 2018. Buttkus also acted as spokesman for Arminia's U23 team in the Rußheide stadium from 2004 until it was dissolved at the end of the 2017/18 season .
