Lothar Schlegel (born September 29, 1933 ) is a former German soccer player. For SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt , he played 21 games between 1956 and 1963 in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football . In 1956 and 1959 he was GDR champion with SC Wismut.

Athletic career

Schlegel first appeared in higher-class football when he played a league game for progress Hartha in the second-rate GDR league in the 1953/54 season . For the season 1954/55 he moved to the league competitor Wismut Plauen and was used there in 17 point games.

Subsequently, the game operations in GDR football were switched to the calendar year. After Plauen was relegated in 1955, Schlegel was accepted for the game year 1956 by the upper division club SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt, who was based in Aue .
