Lou de Laâge
Lou de Laâge (born April 27, 1990 in Bordeaux ) is a French actress .
Life
De Laâge was born as the only daughter of a journalist and a painter . She grew up with her two brothers in Bordeaux; her older brother is a film sound engineer . At the age of ten she already appeared in a children's theater and played at various theater festivals . After passing her Baccalauréat , she went to Paris , where she studied acting for three years at the École Claude Mathieu. At the same time, she continued to play in the theater and worked as a model , shooting commercials for a cosmetics brand. During her studies she played the role of the student Lou in Michael A. Allowitz 's short film La découverte .
From 2011, de Laâge initially appeared in smaller roles in television series before she took on a supporting role in Thomas Bardinets Nino in 2011 , with numerous actors in the film having studied with her at the École Claude-Mathieu. In the television musical La nouvelle Blanche-Neige , a reinterpretation of the fairy tales by Charles Perrault , de Laâge took the lead and sang. For her portrayal of the young groom Raphaëlle Dalio in Christian Duguay's Jappeloup - Eine Legende , de Laâge was nominated for a César for Best Young Actress in 2014 . She received the same nomination in 2015 for her acting performance in Respire . In 2016 she was awarded the Romy Schneider Prize .
