Louis-Paul M'Fédé (born February 26, 1961 in Yaoundé , Cameroon ; † June 10, 2013 there ) was a Cameroonian football player .

Club career

M'Fédé began his career in 1981 in his hometown with Canon Yaoundé . In 1983 he moved to France in Ligue 1 to Stade Rennes . In 1988 he returned to his home club, which loaned him to the Spanish second division club UE Figueres in 1990 . After returning to Yaoundè again, he ended his active career there in 1994.

With Canon Yaoundé he became Cameroonian national champion in 1982 and 1991.

National player

In 1984 M'Fédé was appointed to the Cameroon squad for the Los Angeles Olympics . He played all three games of the tournament and scored the goal for Cameroon in a 3-1 win against Canada . Between 1986 and 1992 he took part in the African Football Championship four times , which Cameroon won in 1988 . He was at the World Championships in 1990 and 1994 in the squad of the "indomitable lions", where he was used in all games.

Between 1984 and 1994 he played a total of 66 international matches in which he scored eight goals.
