Louis Arsène Delaunay (born March 21, 1826 Paris , † September 24, 1903 ) was a French actor.

Delaunay attended the Conservatoire 1843–45 and made his debut in 1846 at Odéon , where he played teenage lovers for two years. In 1848 he appeared as Dorante in " Menteur " at the Théâtre Français and became a societaire after just two years .

Among his numerous creations on the first stage in France, those in Émile Augier's pieces stand out, e . B. in "Le fils de Giboyer" (German: "A pelican", von Laube) and "Paul Forestier", in many probes by Alfred de Musset , in "Lion amoureux" by François Ponsard and in "Hernani" by Victor Hugo in which latter he celebrated one of his greatest triumphs. Delaunay was married to the actress Marie Favart .
