Louis Heyligenstaedt

Louis Paul Kasimir Heyligenstaedt (born February 3, 1842 in Vacha , † November 20, 1910 in Gießen ) was a machine manufacturer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Heyligenstaedt attended the community school and the private institute in Vacha as well as the trade school in Gießen and Offenbach am Main . He trained as a mechanical engineer from 1856 to 1859, was practically active until 1871, became self-employed in 1871 and founded the machine tool factory Heyligenstaedt & Co., which still exists today District of Gießen, from 1892 member of the Provincial Assembly and from 1896 member of the Provincial Committee of the Province of Upper Hesse. He was also chairman of the local trade association, the supervisory board of the trade school, the supervisory board of the building cooperative for workers' housing and other corporations. From 1891 he was a Grand Ducal Councilor of Commerce .

From 1903 to 1907 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Grand Duchy of Hesse 1 ( Gießen , Grünberg , Nidda ) and the National Liberal Party .
