Louise Otto (swimmer)
Louise Otto (born August 30, 1896 in Hamburg ; † March 9, 1975 there ) was a German swimmer .
Life
Louise Otto from the women's swimming club Bille Hamburg took part in both women's competitions at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm. About 100 meters freestyle she was eliminated in the semifinals. The German 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay consisting of Wally Dressel , Louise Otto, Hermine Stindt and Grete Rosenberg crossed the finish line 11.8 seconds after the British Olympic champions, but had a 12.4 second lead over the third-placed Austrians .
Private
In 1914 Louise Otto became the mother of a daughter, who later became the film costume designer Erna Sander . Her son-in-law was the German-Hungarian film and television producer Gyula Trebitsch .
