The coal mine Zeche Vereinigte Louise Tiefbau was located in Barop , a district of the Dortmund district of Hombruch . Originally this mine extracted from various tunnels in the Emscher valley .
history
The "Schulte" and " Clausthal " shafts were built around 1850. In 1860 the output was 70,000 tons of coal with 454 employees. In 1865 a cable car was built to transport coal from the "Clausthal" shaft to the Barop train station . In 1873 the mining law union was converted into the new " Aktiengesellschaft Dortmunder Steinkohlebergwerk Louise Tiefbau", which also took the neighboring United Wittwe & Barop colliery under its wing.
In 1877 the shaft and pit field of the closed colliery "Wittwe & Barop" were taken over. The shaft "widow" was abandoned in 1885 and filled . In the years that followed, "Louise Tiefbau" advanced to become an important coke producer in the Ruhr district thanks to good fat coal . In 1895, 830 employees mined 220,000 tons of coal.
In 1908 the "Clausthal" shaft collapsed . In 1909 the "Schulte" shaft was newly bricked up and assigned to the United Wiendahlsbank colliery in Kruckel . In 1910 the United Louise Civil Engineering Colliery was finally abandoned and the daytime facilities were broken down.

In the mine field of the old colliery, the "Luisenschachtstrasse", the streets "Luisenglück" and "Luisenhoffnung" are reminiscent of the mine. Between "Luisenglück" and the embankment of the S-Bahn there is still a narrow, two-story colliery building that is now used as a residential building.
