Loy Wesselburg (* 1960 in Miltenberg ) is a German film composer , music producer , arranger and musician.

Life

Loy Wesselburg has lived in Cologne since 1981 . Here he studied jazz guitar at the Cologne University of Music with Eddi Marron and then worked as a musician and from 1991 as a composer for film music and audio brandings . Since 1995 he has been working as a film composer and music producer.

In 1999 Wesselburg founded the music production company "loyproduction", which is increasingly active in the field of audio design with a team of arrangers, sound engineers, programmers and producers . In addition to his work as a composer for film music, title music and audio logos , Loy Wesselburg is developing a pedagogical approach to learning music, with Singing Yoga, a music-based form of yoga, and his own conducting language. Since 2006 he has been a member of the chanson trio La Voisin . In 2015 he was awarded the German Film Music Prize for the best song in the film (“Here in the Rain” in “Lies and Other Truths” with Meret Becker ).
