Luís Miguel Rocha

Luís Miguel Rocha (born February 1976 in Porto ; † March 26, 2015 in Mazarefes, Viana do Castelo district , Portugal) was a Portuguese writer and producer. He has published several novels, the main characters of which are popes.

Life

Rocha spent his childhood and youth in Viana do Castelo . After school and university he went to Great Britain to work for various TV stations. At the same time Rocha began to write and had his first success in 2006 with his novel O Último papa (Eng .: The Third Secret ).

In his novels Rocha liked to thematize the life and death of popes. His novel The Third Secret is based on the conspiracy theories about Pope John Paul I , and the novel Bala santa was based on other theories about the death of Pope John Paul II. In his novel A mentira sagrada Rocha dealt with Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. .

Luis Miguel Rocha died on March 26, 2015 at the age of 39 as a result of a long illness at home in his house in the village of Mazarefes, Viana do Castelo district, and was buried in the local cemetery there.
