Lu Possehl has expressed herself in various directions in her painting, notably informal works with acrylic, often combined with other materials, on canvas. There are also works of sketchy depictions of the body, mostly on paper and canvas. These can also be recognized in her steel sculptures, which depict figures that are reduced to essential forms of expression. Archaic basic forms and pairs are characteristic; the unification of opposites and opposing forces, e.g. B. as a harmonization of a male-female duality pervades the works.
